Auditor Alisa Smith presented routine county business on June 23. The board approved the June 16, 2026 meeting and work session minutes and authorized their publication in the official newspapers.
The board also approved and authorized the Auditor’s Office to issue warrants and to publish the claims listing in the amount of $237,772.33. Additionally, by motion the board approved a cigarette permit for SNK Gas & Food, LLC doing business as Otter Creek Stop at 18820 Bellevue Cascade Rd, Zwingle, effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The board approved Resolution #1190-06-23-2026 to cancel outstanding warrants in the Auditor’s Office totaling $88.81 (recorded in Resolution Book 5, page 380). All recorded motions passed with aye votes from Schwenker, Steines and Flagel.
The meeting adjourned at 10:13 a.m.; the board is scheduled to reconvene June 30, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the courthouse boardroom in Maquoketa.
