Jackson County’s Board of Supervisors on June 16, 2026 approved Resolution #1189-06-16-2026 setting compensation for contract law enforcement services at $85.00 per hour.
The resolution also records that officers employed by Jackson County will be compensated at one-and-one-half times their normal rate of pay when applicable. The resolution was recorded in Resolution Book 5, page 379, and the motion to adopt was made by Supervisor Mike Steines and seconded by Supervisor Nin Flagel; Chair Don Schwenker and all supervisors voted aye.
Why it matters: the resolution formalizes a uniform hourly rate for contract law-enforcement work and codifies overtime pay at time-and-a-half for county-employed officers when relevant. The county indicates the resolution is on file with the Auditor and available for public inspection.
