Police, public works report smooth Labor Day; Red Town chip-sealing to begin Sept. 10

Police Chief Stigall reported that the Labor Day celebration “went well” for the Police Department and that no major issues were encountered. City Supervisor Houk told the council Public Works likewise saw no major problems over the holiday.
Houk said the Red Town Initiative Project will begin chip sealing on Wednesday the 10th and that the process should take about a week. He also reported that the First Street Project has been concluded with reported problem areas fixed and refinished. The council acknowledged the work and Mayor Struck thanked the city crew for their efforts over the holiday weekend.
