Wellness CAC reports housing approvals, jobs and client events at April meeting

Diane said three clients were approved for housing at the 1213 apartment complex, one client obtained employment, another received a driver's license, and a client accepted an intake for residential drug treatment after peer encouragement. She reported recent group and social events—including a bowling trip and a Spring Fling attended by about 60 clients—and announced upcoming events: a Mental Health Awareness event at the lake on May 8 (transportation provided beginning at 9 a.m.) and a Nickel Arcade trip on May 29, 2026.
Diane's report emphasized peer-driven supports and social activities as part of recovery work and noted the Wellness Center's role in outreach and engagement.
