Council adopts community advisory group work plans; EDC to add SWOT and partner lines

On Sept. 8 the West Linn City Council adopted a set of community advisory group (CAG) work plans, including the Economic Development Committee (EDC), Historic Review Board, Transportation Advisory Board and Utility Advisory Board, approving two friendly amendments proposed by Councilor Bonnington for the EDC.
The EDC amendments add a formal SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) to guide future work plans and add explicit partnering language to include the Chamber of Commerce and Willamette Main Street in research and outreach. Council approved the package by roll call; staff said each advisory group will provide an annual report and the work plans are living documents that can be updated as priorities shift.
