Township maintenance: 134th culvert work could start Dec. 3–4; snowplow training to begin

Maintenance staff reported a contractor has a possible start date of Dec. 3–4 for the 134th culvert replacement project and said the township will ask the county for an extension on invoice submissions so the project can qualify for grant funding. Roads were described as "in pretty good condition for freeze up."
Staff also said snowplow equipment will be installed and training on routes and machines will begin next week; trucks are being scheduled for DOT and annual service. Chatham Township requested to store a water truck in the township storage shed and the board said the township attorney will draft an agreement.
