Township maintenance staff told supervisors that the timing for the 134th Street culvert replacement remains uncertain; the county has approved an extension for the remaining grant funds allocated for that project. Maintenance said it will contact the contractor to obtain an expected completion date.
The board recorded receipt of a county grant of $37,259.18 for the Gowan Ave project. Maintenance and supervisors also discussed equipment sharing: the board agreed equipment may be shared between townships provided a mutual-aid agreement is signed. Staff reported a new truck is expected in December or January; a motion to authorize up to $500 for tires on the current truck was made by Supervisor Ryan Nelson but the motion "died" and did not pass. Supervisor Andy Christensen said he may donate a set of wheels and tires to get the township through until the new vehicle arrives.
