Council signs off on easements for Fields Farm water storage tank — electricity and communications cleared

The Purcellville Town Council approved right‑of‑way and utility easements July 22 to provide electricity and communications to the town's new Fields Farm water storage tank. The easements will allow power for security monitoring, lighting, remote SCADA controls, CCTV cameras and an FAA warning light required for maintenance access ladders.
Andrea Boschovich explained the easements will cross both town property and a strip of Loudoun County property; the county has approved the project at the planning commission level and the Board of Supervisors is scheduled to act. Boschovich told the council the electricity will also be used for access gates and the communications easement will enable remote monitoring. Council members confirmed utilities will be installed underground and that Comcast is the service provider coordinated for the site. After suspension of the rules for same‑night action, council approved the Dominion and Comcast agreements and authorized the mayor to execute the plats and grants of easement.
