Commission sets July work-plan deadline, hears update on commissioner vacancy and next special meeting

Commissioner Bertaux reported that Town Council passed the FY26 budget and indicated some planning positions are frozen. He also said the council expects to act on a planning commissioner vacancy by the first council meeting in July. The chair asked the vice chair and chair to deliver recommended FY26 work-plan items back to the council representative by July 1.
The commission scheduled a special meeting for July 16, 2025 to address time-sensitive items and also noted a break in August with a scheduled return on September 4. The chair described homework assignments related to the five-year comprehensive plan and commissioners agreed to return with items in July.
