At its April 1 meeting the Soap Lake City Council approved a package of personnel, consultant and operations items.
Council approved an employment agreement with Jeff Balentine to serve as Temporary Finance Director (City Treasurer) (motion by Councilmember Carson, second by Councilmember Carlson). The council also approved consultant service agreements with Kovach Architects PS Inc. for planning and building official services and Safe Built LLC for support services. The job description for a Municipal Maintenance Worker and a park host contract for RV park operations were both approved. Council voted to transfer administration of the city website to Grant County IT Services and to remove Ring cameras and Alexa devices from city properties and put them into storage.
Each item passed by unanimous vote. The Park Host contract becomes effective the day after the meeting and includes phone and laptop access, reservation system access, maintenance duties and identification signage as recorded in the minutes.
