City supervisor: First Street striping set for Aug. 22; Cheney Sports Park improvements in place

City Supervisor Houk updated the council on parks and street work, reporting that Cheney Sports Park "looks good" and that pickleball nets are available and being stored in a steel locker on site.
Houk said work on the First Street Project is progressing with a few minor fixes underway and striping scheduled for Aug. 22. He also said the pre-construction meeting for the Red Town Initiative project is scheduled, with prep work to start on Aug. 18 and surfacing to begin Sept. 8. The council did not take action on the project reports; the briefing was informational.
