Commissioners and CVRPC staff reviewed local recreation and municipal service issues for the plan's inventory. They noted existing recreation resources such as the Mill Trail in Graniteville and a small state forest, and asked CVRPC to include trail and recreation assets in land-use mapping.
Wastewater system location and maintenance questions were raised (system located off Railroad Street) and commissioners said the town manager and local staff would provide technical details. On community services, the commission noted a local food shelf and discussed asking about childcare availability, food access, and ambulance and fire services in the survey.
The commission also confirmed the Recreation Board is active and will be a resource for drafting the recreation chapter; CVRPC said Pamela (mapping support) would help standardize map presentation across plan sections.
