Superintendent Katie Chavarria told the Board that the uncovered ramp to the portable classrooms has a rotting main structural board and recommended removing the ramp and converting the route to a gravel pathway. "Converting to gravel would reduce initial repair costs, lower long-term maintenance expenses, and address ongoing safety issues," she said.
Donald Collins moved to approve removal of the uncovered ramp; Lisa Young seconded and the motion passed with no further discussion. Katie noted that if site conditions prevent conversion to gravel during removal, the issue will be returned to the Board for reassessment.
