Mayor Travis Mote asked council members to submit nominations for citizen of the year, business of the year and grand marshal for the Fourth of July celebration and asked that nominations be sent to City Recorder Susan Obray. He also reported that the trail drinking fountain is now working and that the council will revisit the Granite Trail agreement at a later meeting.
The mayor discussed ordering a flag for the pole on the mountain and noted scheduling concerns for an upcoming work session with Mr. Day. City Planner Madison Brown agreed to post on the city’s Facebook page soliciting nominations and set the deadline as the Sunday before the next council meeting.
These items were presented as routine community updates and no formal action or funding decision was made at the meeting.
