Staff (S2) told the council that gravel pit revenues are expected to decline due to SB75 and that Rocky Mountain Power estimates about an 18% rate increase, potentially affecting both residential and nonresidential bills. "Utilities is specifically Rocky Mountain Power estimates. I think they estimate about a a 18% increase," S2 said.
On public safety staffing and contracts, staff said the sheriff's office will provide the same level of service as last year but at a modest cost increase (about 3%). Council members asked for a department-by-department breakdown of how a public works bond payment was allocated; staff (S6) said the allocation was calculated by relative building use and FTEs and that a detailed breakdown will be provided.
Councilors indicated they want the bond allocation and department impacts sent in the next packet for review before final budget adoption.
