Staff presented the city's annual fireworks restrictions map, which the council said is required by Utah state law. The staff explanation noted the map considers proximity to fire-prone areas, infrastructure and residential zones and that "no changes were made from the previous year."
Councilman Wayne Winsor moved to approve Ordinance 2025-07: South Weber Fireworks Restrictions; Councilwoman Angie Petty seconded. Mayor Westbroek called for a roll call vote and Council Members Joel Dills, Blair Halverson, Angie Petty and Wayne Winsor voted aye. The motion carried and the ordinance was adopted for the coming fireworks season.
