Donato's Pizza repair will use original stone, staff says

Staff said historic masons reviewed the condition and determined the original stone can meet structural requirements.
"What was originally thought to require CMU with a stone face to support the property has now thankfully been determined that they can use just the original stone. It will be strong enough," a staff member reported. Staff added that the work is classified as maintenance and therefore will not return to the board for a formal review; building standards and historical masons will be involved to ensure code and structural safety.
