On June 17 the South Salt Lake City Council approved a series of ordinances to adopt interim budgets for individual funds, taking separate roll-call votes for each fund.
Motions and roll-call results recorded in the meeting include unanimous approval for the General Fund, Lease Debt Service Fund, Lease Debt Service Fund, Capital Improvements Fund, Public Works Campus Construction Fund, Water Utility Fund, Waste Water Fund, Solid Waste Fund, Stormwater Utility Fund and Insurance Reserve Fund. The Public Safety Service Special Revenue Fund passed 4–3 (Yes: Glad, Bynum, Jones, Williams; No: Thomas, Mitchell, deWolfe). The Transportation Utility Fund passed 5–2 (Yes: Glad, Bynum, Jones, Williams, deWolfe; No: Thomas, Mitchell).
Council Member Nick Mitchell moved several of the fund ordinances and Council Member Clarissa Williams and Council Chair Sharla Bynum also led motions on other items. The meeting record indicates the council considered each fund in turn and voted by roll call as shown in the minutes.
City staff will implement the adopted budget entries and accounting transfers described during the Finance presentation.
