The Architectural Review Board approved a master sign plan covering three buildings at the northern edge of the historic district, including 72 & 84 North High Street and 20 North Street. Staff recommended approval with a condition that the applicant submit a sample of the proposed lettering material to staff for approval prior to submitting a building permit.
"Staff recommends approval of the master sign plan with the condition that, prior to submitting the building permit, the applicant shall supply staff with a sample of the material proposed for the lettering on the signs for staff approval or propose a material that is regularly approved in the historic district," Tori told the board. The board also agreed to a separate condition related to lighting: staff will require complete, approvable lighting information before installation and will administratively approve lighting that meets code, with a process to return items to the board if waivers or disagreements arise.
