Garland Parks & Recreation staff used the youth council meeting to publicize seasonal job openings and application details for summer camp and aquatics positions. "It's $13 per hour," a Parks & Rec official said when asked about wages for seasonal hires, and staff said lifeguard and aquatics positions are hiring with a minimum age of 16.
Staff asked interested youth council members to apply promptly and said interviews will be conducted early next month; they also explained part‑time and full‑time hour ranges for camp staff and noted that staff are CPR/first‑aid certified and will be available to supervise Field Day activities.
