Florence board approves emergency purchases to restore water service and repair lift station

Separately, the board approved invoice #406 payable to Rapid Action Service, LLC for $6,496.79 for emergency repair of the lift station serving the Polk's Drugs area; that repair was characterized in the minutes as necessary because of the possibility of raw sewage leakage in the vicinity.
Both motions were made at Public Works' recommendation and carried by unanimous vote, and were recorded in the meeting minutes as emergency purchases made to protect community water and sanitation services.
