Deputy City Attorney Tiffany Bull and planning staff presented a request to annex a 69.75‑acre parcel that Provident purchased after an earlier development agreement. Staff said the annexation will allow the property to be included in the Goodland plan and zoned consistently with the adjacent development; the developer will provide most infrastructure under the development agreement. Staff also affirmed that Proposition A of the upcoming bond does not allocate funds to Goodland.
After a brief public hearing and limited resident questions (largely about mineral rights and whether drilling could ever occur in the long term), councilmember motioned to approve the annexation and the council voted in favor.
