The Board of Trustees continued an on‑site review of the Elm Street–Sherman Avenue intersection at the July 21 special meeting, discussing the paving layout and additions to drainage. The minutes record consideration of adding handicap parking on the Elm Street side of the Nehawka Community Building.
After reconvening in the Community Building, the board and consultant discussed adding new water and/or sewer lines and installing four water shutoffs prior to paving the intersection so future utility work would not require tearing up new pavement. The minutes do not record a motion or vote on a final design; consultant Scott Hrabik will incorporate these topics when he updates the 1 & 6‑Year Street Plan.
