Commission members provisionally selected World Inclusion Day and Diwali for October, Veterans Day programming in November and recognition of Human Rights Month in December. One commissioner cautioned that the city should vet proclamations: "It might be some proclamations in there that we might not as a city wanna celebrate," reflecting a desire for a review process before automatically approving items. Staff agreed to follow up with the city secretary's office to confirm existing records of past proclamations and to provide templates for commissioners who volunteer to draft proclamations.
