Upper Valley Trails Alliance chosen for Tucker Mountain All Persons Access Trail; ordinance proposed

Tom Kidder, chair of the Tucker Mountain Town Forest Management Committee, presented the committee's recommendation to accept Upper Valley Trails Alliance's bid of $68,000 to construct an All Persons Access Trail. Kidder told the board that the Alliance is experienced, routinely uses student volunteers, and submitted a bid well below competing proposals; the Selectboard approved the recommendation by motion.
Kidder also provided copies of a proposed Tucker Mountain Forest Ordinance for the board to review. He expressed appreciation for Jeff McKelvey's assistance on Tucker Mountain issues before exiting the meeting. The minutes do not include language of the proposed ordinance; the board will review the draft at a future meeting.
