The Louisa County Board of Supervisors adopted the fiscal year 2027 budget on April 14, 2026, approving Resolution 202620. The resolution sets total taxes at $8,380,170 for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 fiscal year, including $7,735,189 in property taxes and the remainder as Utility Replacement dollars. The board recorded the tax rates per $1,000 of taxable valuation as General Basic $4.42820, General Supplemental $2.80581, Rural Services Basic $2.94197 and Voted Emergency Medical Services $0.56728.
Kevin Hardin, Chair, and Supervisors Shawn Maine and Scot Hunt voted to adopt the resolution after a brief public hearing that opened at 8:45 a.m. and closed at 8:52 a.m. during the board’s April 14 meeting. During the hearing, resident Randy Foor asked whether county employees would receive a raise; the board said that raises were included in the proposed budget. Susan Schnedler, Louisa County Auditor, attested the resolution.
