Commission approves revised plan for 77 Far Hills Drive with conditions

The Inland Wetlands Commission approved Application #808 on Jan. 20, 2026, allowing regulated activities within the 100-foot upland review area at 77 Far Hills Drive, Parcel #5040077. Marcus Puttock, civil engineer for Godfrey, Hoffman, Hodge, LLC, presented a revised plan that moves the sports court farther south (away from wetlands), removes a previously proposed detention pond or rain garden and places an underground runoff storage system beneath the sports court to infiltrate stormwater on site. Consultant Eric Davison filed an updated Wetland and Watercourse Delineation & Evaluation Report dated Dec. 22, 2025. "Less area will be disturbed and more existing trees will be allowed to remain," the presentation noted.
Commissioner Daniel Carvalho moved to approve the application with conditions to be itemized in the approval letter; Commissioner Robert Breckinridge seconded. The motion passed with six votes in favor and one abstention (Commissioner Thomas Kassan). The approval is conditional; the commission directed that conditions be documented in the written approval letter before permit issuance.
