The Inland Wetlands Commission of the Town of Avon elected Commissioner Carol Hauss as chair and Commissioner Thomas Kassan as vice chair at a virtual special meeting on Jan. 20, 2026. Commissioner Robert Yass made the motion to elect Hauss and Kassan; Commissioner Daniel Carvalho seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
No additional debate or public comment accompanied the leadership votes. The commission convened with six members present and a clerk on record; the new leadership will preside over forthcoming regular meetings and any special sessions called by the Commission.
