Mayor Hedrick read the consent items, which included: approval of the March 17, 2026 regular‑meeting minutes; various purchase approvals (14 mowers and tractors for Parks & Recreation; three fire command trucks; seven backhoes/excavators/loaders); a change order to PO34341 for four fire trucks; multiple GP&L (Garden Power & Light) equipment and substation material purchases; contract awards for 2026 alley repair and street maintenance programs; a downtown TIF utility study; a DART local agreement; and a resolution authorizing application for the 2026 Homeland Security Grant Program. The agenda also included authorization to acquire real property located at 3014 South Shiloh Road.
Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Ott moved to approve the consent agenda as presented; Councilmember Bass seconded and the council approved the consent items unanimously. The mayor noted items had been available for council review during prior work sessions and that any item could have been pulled for separate consideration.
