The Springdale Town Council met with the newly elected Paiute Tribal Council for a meet-and-greet lunch at the Spotted Dog on Feb. 4, 2026, and later conducted a site visit to the George A. Barker River Park to walk the Nung'wu Poa (Paiute Trail), the minutes state.
According to the site-visit minutes signed by Town Clerk Robin Romero, the session convened at 12:00 p.m. Mayor Barbara Bruno and Council Members Jack Burns, Randy Aton, Pat Campbell and Kyla Topham attended alongside town staff including Town Manager Rick Wixom and Directors Tom Dansie and Ryan Gubler. The minutes record tribal representatives and staff from the newly elected Paiute Tribal Council but describe the meeting as an informational meet-and-greet rather than a deliberative council session.
After lunch the groups traveled to George A. Barker River Park and walked the Nung'wu Poa trail, which the minutes describe as crossing the river on Paiute property.
