Douglas County authorized to apply for WDNR trail grants under three statutes

Resolution #5-26 authorizes Douglas County to apply for financial aid from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources under Wis. Stat. § 23.09(26) (snowmobile), § 23.33 (all-terrain vehicle), and § 23.335 (off-highway motorcycle) for maintenance, acquisition, insurance, rehabilitation, or development of eligible motorized trails.
The resolution further authorizes the Parks and Recreation Supervisor, Douglas County Forestry Department staff, or designee to act on behalf of the county as signatory on all grant applications and related documents and to undertake approved projects. Committee action on the resolution was unanimous and the board adopted it on motion by Supervisor S. Hendrickson, seconded by Supervisor Baker.
