After a motion and second, the judge stated the order and gave its effective timing: "This burn ban for today, we are under a state mandated, you do not burn because winds, are anticipated to exceed 23 miles an hour. Given this order, it is effective at sunrise tomorrow." The court approved the motion by voice vote.
The judge said staff will distribute signed copies of the order to fire chiefs and the sheriff’s office and that the ban would be publicized so residents and visitors are aware of the restriction.
