County sets Oct. 5 deadline for damage-inventory to qualify for FEMA assistance

At the workshop the judge confirmed that October 5 will be the county’s deadline to submit an initial damage-inventory to FEMA so sites can be considered for mitigation or recovery. Consultants cautioned the county to treat that date as a firm cut-off and to collect photos, GPS coordinates and documentation for each candidate site.
"October 5th of this year becomes our our cutoff date," the judge said, underscoring the timeline. Consultants added that full project-workbook (PW) documentation — including BCA and H&H materials where required — should be completed by Feb. 2, 2025, though one consultant said he was still seeking written confirmation of the 180-day timing from FEMA.
