Commissioners approve budget amendments and more than $1.1 million in bills

Kalkaska County commissioners approved several budget amendments and authorized payment of bills and payroll during the Aug. 20 meeting. Motioning members detailed the totals: Post Approved Bills of $1,163,105.83, General Fund Bills of $621,773.10, Payroll #14 of $222,969.47 and Payroll #15 of $234,665.36; commissioner per-diem and salary totals were recorded.
The motions passed by roll call with four affirmative votes and three commissioners absent. County administration said staff will correct miscoded MERS and payroll line items as part of reconciliation work and will reflect adjustments in forthcoming budget documents.
