The committee approved lease agreements for DALMAC, Michigan Independence Hockey League, Kalkaska Area Hockey Association, Sky Dance Studio and an event contract with PJS Promotions (gun and knife show). The board also approved an Almighty Wall Board advertising arrangement contingent on director approval and finalized size and timing details.
Parks & Recreation Director Chad Williams reported differences between 2024 and 2025 revenues and noted challenges including competing free-use sites. Commissioners requested more detailed expense reports, suggested membership drives and flagged audit and deficit-elimination concerns if revenue plans are not provided.
