Board clears circus contract contingent on paperwork, defers other Kaliseum contracts

Parks and Recreation presented several contracts for use of the Kaliseum. Administrator/CFO Whiteford and commissioners discussed that required paperwork (including W-9, liability insurance and workers' compensation) must be provided before contracts proceed. The Board agreed to waive a referral to committee to allow review of Kaliseum contracts but made approval contingent on submission of proper documentation. "Admin/CFO Whiteford noted review of documents; noted lack of required paperwork including liability insurance; noted circus event that weekend. Consensus to move forward with circus contingent upon necessary paperwork, table the other two to August meetings."
Commissioner Robert Baldwin moved to approve the Great Pages Circus agreement contingent upon verification of required documents; the motion carried on a roll-call vote. Two other events (DALMAC and Sky Dance) were deferred to August committees for further review and required documentation.
