Chester County trustee permitted to use Henderson’s old bank building as temporary satellite

Chester County Trustee Lance Beshires told the Henderson Board of Mayor and Aldermen the county courthouse sustained substantial damage during a recent ice storm and requested temporary use of the city-owned former bank at 132 N. Washington Ave. for a drive-through trustee office. He asked for the facility from Feb. 17 through Apr. 30 to give county staff time to repair the county building.
City Attorney Jerry Spore recommended a simple use agreement. Alderman Mark A. Barber moved to permit the trustee’s office to operate the north drive-through window of the old bank building for that period provided the county show proof of insurance and pay utilities; Alderman Donna R. Butler seconded and the motion carried. Recorder Jim E. Garland and Mayor Terry F. Bell were authorized to handle administrative details.
