Ald. Donna R. Butler moved to allow the purchase as discussed in the budget meetings; Ald. Keith Smith seconded the motion and it carried. Mayor Terry F. Bell praised the police department for its professionalism during recent stressful weeks that included shootings resulting in a death, and Chief Davidson thanked his team.
