Kalkaska County approves $3,000 Michigan Leadership Institute agreement to aid interim hire

The board approved the motion on a roll-call vote: Matley, yes; Persons, yes; Sieting, no; Baldwin, yes; Fisher, yes — tally 4 yeas, 1 nay, 2 absent. Earlier in the discussion Janik referenced a higher proposed amount ($8,700) but told the board he could be flexible and would prepare information for the July 7 meeting if the board wanted a revised proposal. The board asked Janik to prepare information for the July 7 special meeting.
The MLI agreement is intended to provide negotiation and recruitment advice during the interim appointment and will be reviewed if further assistance is needed.
