Ionia County Board appoints Cody Waite, Vicki Pohl and reshuffles Finance Committee

At its Feb. 10 meeting the Ionia County Board of Commissioners appointed Cody Waite to the Board of Public Works and Vicki Pohl to the Commission on Aging, and moved Scott Wirtz onto the Finance Committee replacing Larry Tiejema.
The Ionia County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 10 approved two board appointments and adjusted committee membership. Commissioners voted to appoint Cody Waite to the Board of Public Works (motion moved by Jack Shattuck) and to appoint Vicki Pohl to the Commission on Aging (motion moved by Gordon Kelley); both motions carried.
In response to attendance concerns and a discussion about alternate members to comply with the Open Meetings Act, the board removed Commissioner Larry Tiejema from the Finance Committee and appointed Commissioner Scott Wirtz to the committee; the motion to remove and appoint was moved by David Hodges and carried. The minutes do not record dissenting votes or individual roll-call tallies.
