Consultant Sarah Wilson tapped to lead Jefferson County strategic planning sessions

Moderator introduced Sarah Wilson, owner of SSW Consulting, as the consultant the county and several cities have hired to lead a strategic planning process. "So I will like to introduce Sarah Wilson," the Moderator said during opening remarks. Wilson was presented as an experienced consultant who has worked with Oregon cities and the Oregon City Council Management Association.
Sarah Wilson described the workshop structure and the role of staff and community partners. She asked participants to draft a forward-looking headline as a framing exercise: "And see if you can come up with a headline from the future. And then we'll go around," she said. Wilson said the process will combine city and county input and that both city and county staff, along with the CIC community team, will be involved.
Wilson previewed the types of data the team will use, including income tiers, commute patterns and local job metrics, and asked participants to identify stakeholders for outreach. She told the group engagement will start in the fall: "engagement is going to start September through October," and promised updates and brief findings as work proceeds.
The session closed with a request that participants share contact information and event opportunities so outreach can be targeted during the September-October engagement window.
