Al Short moved to accept the consent agenda covering July minutes and accounts payable; a board member seconded and the motion carried on a voice vote.
During the public comment period Terrence Heifold, exalted ruler of Madras Oaks Lodge, said members volunteered to provide security at a 4‑H gate in exchange for a fair booth where they could talk with locals, reinstate lapsed memberships and promote programs including scholarships and a weekend hoop shoot. "We got a fair booth... we were able to talk to locals," Heifold said, thanking the board for the opportunity.
The board then moved into unfinished business. The consent motion was recorded as carried with no opposing votes announced at the meeting.
