The Commission held a statutorily required public hearing on a road vacation near the Idaho border (approximately 53400 W 27200 N) in the Clear Creek area. Community Development Director Scott Lyons explained the contested segment has been shown on different maps over time, has been gated and used intermittently for school bus pickup, and does not lead to other properties or public land. There was no public comment during the hearing.
Commissioner Lee Perry moved to open and then close the hearing; he then moved to direct staff to prepare the required ordinance for consideration at the next meeting. The motion to direct staff was seconded by Commissioner Boyd Bingham and carried unanimously on roll-call vote. The Commission instructed staff to prepare the ordinance language and present it at a subsequent meeting for final action.
