Students, staff honored at Mason Consolidated Schools board meeting

At the April 7 meeting the board honored staff member Traci Fackelman, recognized EMEA Academic All-Stars and celebrated student wins in a STEM competition and a Division I band rating; several students performed and received awards.
The Mason Consolidated Schools Board of Education recognized staff and student accomplishments at its April 7 meeting. Traci Fackelman, a middle school special education educator, was named the district’s Staff Member of the Month through sponsorship by Leski Wittman Insurance Agency. The Erie-Mason Education Association named Bradley Weaver (9th), Katherine Otting (10th) and Aubrey Iocoangeli (11th) as Academic All-Stars.
Middle school teachers Hannah Sugg and Susan Costello recognized students who competed in the You Be the Solution STEM Competition at the Monroe County ISD; the district’s entry placed first and third. Mr. Justin Johnson presented six high school students who earned a Division I “Superior” rating at the state band competition and performed a piece for attendees. These recognitions were recorded in the minutes under the Recognition and Student Council Report sections.
