Traill County WRD authorizes tree removal along Garfield and Holman drains (not-to-exceed amounts set)
Summary
The Board authorized Manager Thompson to contract with Civil Specialties, Inc. to remove trees along Garfield Drain No. 32 (not to exceed $4,500) and along Holman Drain No. 43 (not to exceed $10,000).
Manager Lovas moved and the Board unanimously approved two separate authorizations for tree removal with Civil Specialties, Inc. The first authorization allowed Manager Thompson to remove trees along Garfield Drain No. 32 in sections 14 and 23 of Garfield Township with a not-to-exceed cost of $4,500; Chairman Siegert will obtain a contractor estimate. The second authorization covered tree removal in sections 26–28 to the outlet on Holman Drain No. 43 with a not-to-exceed amount of $10,000; again, Chairman Siegert will seek an estimate.
Both motions passed by roll call vote and were intended to address vegetation that may impede drain function or present maintenance issues. Manager Thompson was explicitly authorized to work with Civil Specialties, Inc. on both projects.
