Commission requests a regular staff report summarizing recommendations, permits and revenues
Summary
Commissioners asked staff to provide a recurring monthly report with updates on items sent to the County Board, permit and revenue levels, and other items of interest to the Planning Commission.
During the May 11 meeting commissioners discussed the value of receiving routine updates from Environmental Services staff. The requested monthly report should include: updates on items the commission has sent to the County Board and the Board’s decisions; summary updates on office activity, permit levels, and revenue on a semiannual or quarterly basis; and any other items staff believes will interest the commission.
Commissioners agreed to the request and directed staff to prepare a regular reporting format for future meetings. The request is procedural and intended to increase transparency between commission recommendations and County Board outcomes.
