Cass County to pursue HVAC contract alternatives through Sourcewell‑Gordian after cost review

Based on preliminary estimates, Boege said the county could realize up to $350,000 in savings over three years and up to $750,000 over five years by pursuing an alternative vendor through the Sourcewell‑Gordian procurement process.
Commissioner Neal Gaalswyk moved to approve using the Sourcewell‑Gordian procurement pathway to seek HVAC control and mechanical maintenance services; the motion passed unanimously. Any contract selected through that process will be brought back to the County Board for consideration before execution.
