The Comanche County Facilities Authority met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. on March 16, 2026 in Room 302 of the Comanche County Courthouse in Lawton. Chairman Johnny Owens, Vice-Chairman Ryan John and member Kenny Kinder were present; Josh Powers was absent. County Clerk Carrie Tubbs called the roll.
The authority approved the minutes of March 9, 2026 and a slate of claims and purchase orders after motions from Ryan John and Kenny Kinder. The board accepted an assessment imposed for fiscal years 2020–2024 in the amount of $289,869.00 to the Association of County Commissioners of Oklahoma; the motion to accept the assessment and have the Comanche County Board of Commissioners pay it from the county’s general fund passed with John and Owens voting aye and Kinder voting nay. The meeting record includes line-item claims such as AXON Enterprise ($7,495.64) and Tiger Commissary (inmate meals, $39,656.53).
David Weber, jail administrator, reported inmate counts and transfers; Emergency Management Director Clint Langford listed recent incident counts and credited volunteer fire departments for responding to high-wind–related fires. With no new business, the authority adjourned after a motion by Ryan John.
