Emergency management assistant Alana Pack reports response calls; board approves OK-IMAT members

Alana Pack, Emergency Management Assistant Director (reporting for absent Director Clint Langford), told the authority there were 48 EMRs during the reporting period, one controlled burn, nine outside fires, three structure fires, one gas leak, one lost hiker on the refuge and four fire alarms. She presented the weekly activity report during the March 9, 2026 meeting.
Following the report, Member Josh Powers moved to approve Alana Pack and Emergency Management Specialist Jerry Smith as members of the Oklahoma Incident Management Assistance Team (OK-IMAT). The motion notes members and participating agencies must comply with training and accept possible deployment; the period of commitment was recorded as three years. Vice-Chair Ryan John seconded and the motion carried with Powers, John and Chair Johnny Owens voting aye and no nays.
