Chisago County approves CIP purchases and operational changes recommended by Budget & Finance Committee

On May 20 the Chisago County Board approved a suite of Budget & Finance Committee recommendations to move forward several capital and operations items using forwarded and unallocated CIP funds.
The board authorized purchase of a new boat to be shared between the Water Resources Department and the LID to be funded from forwarded 2027 CIP and 2026 unallocated CIP funds; approved replacement of an RTU at the Center City Public Works Facility paid from 2026 unallocated CIP; and approved using $117,000 from unallocated CIP to replace VDIs with hardware. The board also approved charging a new ARMER radio support fee of $200/$300 and exiting the Motorola maintenance project. In addition, the board approved replacement of Bard/HVAC units at the Nessel and Taylors Falls tower sites using funds from the 061 account.
All actions were carried by recorded unanimous vote. The items were accepted as part of the May 13 Budget & Finance Committee report and will proceed to implementation by the respective county departments.
